Just wonderfull !!! We stayed in the flagship and it surpassed our expectations. Every thing inside and out was clean and perfect. Everyone was so friendly and nice! We really did not want to leave. On the property there were so many spots to relax and just enjoy the view. With the boat launch on the property it could not be anymore accommodating and the dock where our boat set was only steps away. Restaurants, shopping , and grocery store where close and easy to get too. Cant wait to go back!!

We Didn't Want to Leave! If you're looking for a quiet hideaway in the keys this is absolutely the perfect place. Beautiful water with the most beautiful sunsets! We stayed in the Captain's Quarters and it was perfect for two. Very spacious, very clean; a wonderful get-a-way with the conveniences of home. We brought our boat and it was so nice to be literally just steps away to the dock from our villa. Islamorada and Marathon are also conveniently close for shops and restaurants. The decks, hammock and quiet atmosphere were what we enjoyed the most! Choose Sunset Villas and unplug! Loved it! Thank you Katrina and Bill for sharing an amazing piece of paradise!We Didn't Want to Leave!

Wonderful Keys Destination We were delighted with the spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable Captain's Quarters one-bedroom unit. Can't imagine a better spot, especially at such an attractive rental rate. Enjoyed breakfasts and sunset dinners on the flower-encircled, water-view patio just outside the unit's front door. Katrina and Bill are personable, live-in owners more than willing to provide guests with restaurant and attraction recommendations, and very, very experienced fishing and boating guidance. Convenient middle-Keys location. We hope to return soon.

Relaxing, Secluded What the Keys are all about! No Worries! We stayed in The Captain's Quarters a Very clean Large well equipped 1 Bdr. Apt. steps away from the water. Very Tropical quiet place with many of places to sit and relax on the lounge chairs, hammock, Covered Bar & upper deck. We watched the sunset and relaxed. Located just a short drive between Marathon & Islamorada. Nice little fishing pier & Boat dock just outside your door weather did not cooperate the week we were there it was small craft warnings so we didn't get rent a small boat for a few days. But Bill set us up with Dave that also lives on Conch Key and made it out on his boat for a great day on the water. We Can't wait till or next visit! Thanks Bill & Katrina Hope to see ya next Dec. Beauitful Sunsets and Great Hosts...This was our first trip to Florida and it definitely will not be the last. We had a great time and recommend staying here. We went tarpon fishing. Catching a tarpon was quite a workout. That was one of the many highlights to our trip.

Perfect Place, Perfect Host, Perfect Location...Imagine this, you drive onto the small quiet Conch Key with anticipation, wondering if what you saw on the website was true. There was only one road in and one road out, and you wondered momentarily if you made the right choice. It’s obviously a tiny community and you aren’t sure if this will be what you expected. Well, when we pulled up to Sunset Villas and went through the gate, it was nothing but great. Tropical plants and palms lined and shaded the gated entrance until the water came into view. The hammock between two palms, the boat dock, the Bar-B-Q area with the tiled bar and upper deck seating for watching the sunsets every night. arrrg, makes you want this to be your home, so nice. The villa itself was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The area is quiet, secluded and peaceful-a great place to relax and enjoy time together. Also, just a short drive to Marathon Key for restaurants, shopping and beaches. We were greeted by Bill and Katrina and given the lay of the villa while we waited for our boat rental for the week… They made us feel welcome immediately, and we truly felt like this place was our home for the week. While getting acquainted with the outdoor area, a manatee meandered under and around the dock and my wife got to rub its back. Later we got to see a family of sea turtles that seemed to love the area around the dock throughout the week. If you are a fisherman out of state looking to fish, it took me a while, but chum and live bait were the answer, chum being the key. Sunset Villas is the prime location for the reef about 7 miles out and about 26 miles to Marathon Hump. We caught Cero Mackerel, Mutton Snapper, Black fin tuna (on the hump), Yellow Tail snapper, Barracuda, and Bonito for bait and chunking. Just an awesome week and we will be back. THIS VACATION IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR...Sunset Villas was absolutely beautiful and just what we both needed, from fishing on the dock each night to relaxing in the chairs and watching the awesome sunsets. The villa was very clean and accomodating, we couldn't of asked for more. It was so nice(having our coffee/tea each morning) as we walked out of our door to what we can only describe as heaven on earth. We spent many days & nights right there at the villa, there is so much to enjoy....bicycles, kayaking and just enjoying all the beautiful fish that were right off of the dock, we even had the pleasure of seeing manatees. We have so many happy memories we will cherish forever. We certainly look forward to returning. Thank you so much Katrina and Bill for your wonderful hospitality

We Had a Blast! My boyfriend and I stayed at this property and were thoroughly thrilled with our experience. We stopped at a grocery store prior to our arrival which was a good move as the nearest grocery store or restaurant is approximately 20 minutes away (in Marathon). Our intention was to be lazy and spend time in the sun the whole week but Mother Nature had other ideas... However, this location was great for a day trip to Key West as well as an afternoon in Islamorada. The outdoor patio area was wonderful as it is right on the water and is in full sun the whole day, when it is shining! We stayed in the one bedroom apartment on the second level; it was spacious, extremely clean and had everything we needed. We especially liked the tiled, walk-in shower. My only suggestion would be to add a full-length mirror in the bedroom--nice for short people like me!! Overall, we had an awesome time and look forward to returning.

Florida Keys Gem Extremely well maintained, clean, modern. Owners available to answer questions and offer advice regarding meals, dining, fishing trips which were all great recommendations. Perfect! I made the contact because of the great reviews, and now I'll try to write one of my own. My brother and I stayed here for a fishing trip, and we actually had to maneuver our travel plans at the last minute due to Hurricane Isaac. Capt. Bill and Katrina were honest and accomodating, and their location and facilities are first rate. When we needed info as to finding local places, they were very quick and resourceful. We ended up spending much more time near the property than expected, fishing, snorkeling, and kayaking. Plus, and I'm sure there are very good restaurants in the area, but grilling out watching the sun set over the Gulf is a spectacular sight. We will be back again for sure!

Peace and quiet This property is a hidden jewel. We walked thru the garden gate surrounded with beautiful tropical foilage and there the "place of peace". The view is amazing. Watching the sunset here is probably the most peaceful feeling I have found on a vaca. We loved the villa! It was clean and had what we needed for the week. The owners were great! Perfect home base for seeing the Keys. After a day of visiting the islands we would return to the villa for an evening of fishing on the dock and relaxing. 4th of July was spectacular as we decided not to go to the crowded celebration, and were surprised with front row seats of fireworks over the water, right from the garden. I enjoyed seeing the Keys, but my favorite part was the peaceful sunset. This is a great place!

What a jewel I don't think the pictures did this place justice because it was everything it claimed but so much more. Katrina and Bill somehow managed to be wonderful hosts without ever being intrusive and so helpful about where to eat, fishing charters, and essentially anything we needed to know to make our vacation so special. We were looking for serenity, outstanding water views, and an island feel which were ours for the taking at Sunset Villa - our view of the water was a 180 degree unblemished view with the sun setting right in the middle. I can see why Katrina said her return rate is so high because this will be home base for us anytime we return to the keys assuming there is an opening. If anyone wants to stay here, they better act sooner rather than later, because it is really a jewel.

Excellent location, views, and amenities! I was very pleased with selecting this location. I chose it because it was my first visit to the keys and I wasn't sure whether to stay in the north or south. Conch Key is centrally located in the keys, which was perfect for what my husband and I had planned for our trip. The open waterfront is perfect, and the way it's positioned makes it feel so private. Although we didn't get to enjoy the kayak, bikes and dock due to rain, these amenities would have been perfect. The inside of the villa was clean, with everything we needed. It was obvious that the place is well cared for, as nothing was in need of repair or maintenance. I will definitely plan to return in the near future. On top of everything the location offers, the owners are great, too! This place will not disappoint!

Everything You Would Want My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Sunset Villas and can not wait to return. We stayed in the 1 bedroom villa and enjoyed our breakfast on the patio each morning, and never thought or going to dinner until after experiencing the sunset. With the unit so centrally located in the Keys just about everything is an option. However with the spacious and well appointed outside area, just spending time at the unit was all we could ask. Swimming and fishing right of the dock (I caught my first tarpon), sleeping in the hammock, or reading and having an adult beverage up in the tree house, this place has it all. The unit was as clean as anyone could have wanted. I recommended this to anyone who enjoys the water, the weather the outdoors.

Excellent condo, exceptionally clean, quiet, what a view! We just returned from our week at Sunset Villa, we were so pleased with our choice. You have everything you need here. The views are to die for, fishing in the ocean right off of the dock outside your door. Exceptionally clean facility! I would recommend staying with Bill and Katrina for anyone going to the keys. It is in the perfect spot, you are a short drive from Key West going south or Key Largo going north. They have a pet cat, Prancer who is the best natured grey tabby cat, that I have ever met. He was a real joy to have around. Sunset Villa is a real bargain! It is quiet, clean, relaxed atmosphere. We will definately stay here again! Night time was exciting to see Large Tarpon right off the end of the dock.

We will definately be back We stayed here for our honeymoon and enjoyed every minute of it. We were nervous because we rented online but we were very pleasantly suprised. Both of us have high stress jobs and found this spot to be the perfect spot to get away from it all. We will definately be back but this time we will bring our kids. WOULD NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE My family and i have been vacationing at sunset villas every year for the last 10 yrs and would not go anywhere else. We come to relax and fish.We have a boat delivered right to the dock just outside our room, how nice to step out your door and into the boat. Affordable, clean and convenient. the owners are the nicest people and will help you with anything you need. Never had a single problem in 10 years and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the keys.

A dreamy island home away from home... After getting the 'Keys Disease' at age 18 on a college road trip, and return trips for 30 years after, I dreamed of finding the perfect Key, the perfect place that felt like going home. I found that place at Sunset Villas where Bill and Katrina, their kids and Cuda have made me feel like family. I was looking for a tiny Key and Conch Key is a community unto itself complete with corner store. It's a safe place and I enjoy taking a run around the island either day or night, calling out greetings to people I've met because Sunset Villas and all of Conch Key is a place where friends can be made easily. The villas are happy and exceptionally clean and roomy and well-maintained; the grounds are impecable. Great restaurants are plentiful in closeby Marathon and my husband and I will catch a lunch here and there but never eat dinner out because that would mean missing a sunset and the sunsets are, well, "special;" meant to be enjoyed in typical Keys fashion with friends, a cocktail and a fishing rod. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that the fishing is funtastic, probably because like all fishermen I kinda hate to share a fishing hot spot but I caught my first tarpon at the Sunset Villas pier. An added bonus is having Capt. Bill right on the premises in case you feel a hankering to get to the reef and catch a big old mutton snapper or two. But the bay, right outside of your door is like a giant aquarium and you never know what you'll see next or catch next...it's a nature lover's dream. Sunset Villas is a place where my happy Keys face gets stuck on when I arrive and if you catch me back home with a kind of goofy, dreamy look on my face it's because I'm enjoying a Sunset Villas memory. After five visits to Sunset Villas, I can only hope for many more to come. You will not be dissappointed. I promise.

Amazing sunsets! My husband and I have been on a 6 week extended stay in Villa 6 at Sunset Villas for 5 years. The listing photos accurately reflect the Villas appearance as the property is always clean and well maintained. The owner's are always working to improve their property with something new added each year. We have become friends with others staying during the same time and return year after year for fellowship, tropical drinks, good food and beautiful sunsets. Such a hidden jewel off the beaten path, yet convenient to shopping in Marathon or Islamorada and a short drive to Key West. Try the Wreck & Galley Grill at Grassy Key for all-u-can eat nightly specials or cook on the outdoor grill provided while watching the sunset from the Treehouse deck! We highly recommend this rental, just don't book our time slot!

I'm afraid to let the secret out.... This is the only place we stay in the keys.....7 years and counting! Very clean, super comfortable in an amazing quiet location. Secure dockage is 10 steps from your door on the gulf side very protected. Picture perfect sunsets, quiet, great landscaping providing plenty of tropical shade and privacy to relax in the hammock. Good fishing right off the dock, mangrove snapper, tarpon etc... Easy, relaxing and a great place to enjoy one of the best views on earth...Would highly recommend to anyone.
